Browsing my through RSS feeder today I noticed on the Telegraph site an article that highlighted the most expensive places for travellers. Apparently, Geneva is the most expensive, with, Monte Carlo, New York and Moscow not far behind.

From my travels in the last 12 months, I think London should be included in that list, and I am surprised it is not. You can easily pay £80 for a so called three star hotel, which in reality should be one star.

He visited a travel agency and received a quote £500 per person cheaper than the agency around the corner. So what you might say, but the flight was with the same airline, and the departure date was just 24 hours earlier.

Walking 500 yards saved him a total of £2,000 for the flights, a huge saving.

Online hotel booking site, Skoosh, have apparently, received phone calls and emails from hoteliers asking them not to offer prices lower than other hotel booking sites. The larger companies are under pressure, to make sure that smaller companies are not undercutting them.

Just hearing that currency exchange company, Crown Currency Exchange have gone into administration, and according to the website, 13,000 customers are affected. I am just looking into how this affects travel consumers who have ordered currency.

The company provided an online service where customers could exchange, £300 to £1000 into foreign currency. They delivered the money to the customers address. You will receive your money back if you have paid for the currency on your credit card then under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974.
