I encourage discussion about travel consumer issues and everything else discussed on this blog. I welcome your thoughts and opinions and I am happy that you care enough to share them with the Travel Rants community. Your comments are very much appreciated.
Please read the comments policy prior to posting your comment.
If you see a comment that is inappropriate, alert me by using the “report this comment” link against the comment and I will act accordingly. Anyone who violates this comments policy may be blocked from future access and/or commenting on this blog without warning.
By leaving a comment you are agreeing to the comments policy below.
The comments policy
1. When you leave a comment, I will have to approve it before it is published. I do this mainly to ensure that you’re not a spammer. You’d be surprised at how much spam this blog receives.
2. I will delete any comment if the intention was to attack, defamation, denigrate, diminish, harm or cause upset to an individual, group or the intention was to troll or hijack the conversation, especially if the comment is libellous.
3. Please stay on-topic. I know it’s not always easy but it is important to keep the discussion flowing.
4. I do not allow comments that reveal personal information such as telephone and email addresses or any other such info.
5. The name field is for your name, not the SEO-boosting anchor text. Nicknames are fine, though I prefer real names, and anyone using a blatant keyword-grab (”London Hotels”) will be edited or marked as spam.
6. On-topic links are encouraged; comment “signatures” or random links to promote your stuff will be removed.
7. Comments in any other language other than English, or not readable will be deleted.
8. I do not expect everyone to agree with what I write about, and that is why blogs are great at generating great discussions. If you do not agree, tell me, but please be polite.
9. Posts will have the comment functionality switched off after 90 days because the majority of comments submitted after this period are from spammers.
Privacy
Email addresses are required for commenting, and they are not published on the blog, nor shared. They may be used by me to privately contact the commenter, should I have a question on the comment.
Understanding moderation
I realise this comments policy may appear quite strict but because of the popularity of the blog, I now have to use strict moderation. Occasionally, it seems some comments have been mistaken as spam. If you think this has happened to you then please do contact me and I will investigate.
Keep in touch
Please check back often and respond to comments, or feel free to subscribe to the post by clicking on the tick box in the comment form. Whenever anyone writes a new comment you will receive a notification in your email inbox. You can unsubscribe at anytime by following the instructions in the email.
