It has been a tough year for the travel industry, and who would have predicted that volcano ash clouds from Iceland would cause chaos to flights across Europe or that snow would fall in winter and strand thousands of passengers at Heathrow.

Here are my travel predictions for 2011, let’s see how many of them come true.
o Eurostar will design a non-freezeable train.
o Virgin will create the first airplane powered by volcano ash.
o TSA will enforce their new smile and be groped policy.
o Google will acquire Groupon, Kayak, Trip Advisor and the internet.
o 99% of travel bloggers will earn more the minimum UK wage.
o Tourist boards will piss more tax payer money down the drain.
o British Airways announce Android powered robot cabin crew.
This is my last post for this year. Happy New Year! All the best for 2011.

Let’s hope that more travel bloggers can earn above the minimum wage but I doubt if it’ll be 99%.

I predict that readers of your blog will become more suited to hillside strolls to take advantage of one leg longer than the other. All the more reason to check back in with you. Cheers and a successful 2011 to you!
