Hello. Narrative, man, narrative! The storytellers! Where are they? And also, travel with kids. a big category and while I’m blissfully offspring free, there’s some good work going on in that sector.

Wow – this is so cool! Thank you. It’s exactly what I needed to help my mood improve after what I just did to that poor pumpkin bread we’re supposed to eat tomorrow.
Happy Thanksgiving from the States!

Wow, listed not just once but twice. Thanks Darren! Some serious competition once again and some excellent sites listed in general! Congrats to all; well done.

Please note: any companies offering themselves as nominee’s within the comments will be removed, it’s spam, plain and simple. These are the sites or blogs that I have enjoyed reading, or using within the last 12 months, and I am not going to list sites that I currently no nothing of.
@ Pam.
This isn’t a blog awards, it’s travel, I could have listed another thousand categories, so I stuck with the top level ones for the types of sites that have helped me as a consumer or keen traveller during the last 12 months.

surely there should be a category for best travel trade media website?
Shannon | 27 November, 2008 at 12:18 pm
Darren – I’m sitting here at work (the steady paycheck) on a US holiday and this was the best thing to find out this morning. Thank you! Thank you! This makes what we do so worth it. The Traveling Mamas are honored to be included among such a stellar list. Happy day, indeed.

@ Tamara and Shannon
No problems, you deserve to be on my list
@ Kevin
I thought the word ‘consumer’ would have given it away
There’s only three travel trade media sites that come to mind in the UK anyway, so it wouldn’t be much competition!

@ Mark
No problem, I’ve visited PE alot recently, it’s one of the few US trip planning sites that focuses a little more on Europe.
@ All
Online voting will open up on Monday morning, and will close 7 days later.

This is excellent! Wth so many self catering holiday rental websites out there, is it possible to include a category for these?

Is voting now closed? Wish I’d heard about it earlier! Wanted to vote for Travelers Point!
Good to see such a solid list though!
