Thanks to everyone who has taken the time to write a review of the Travel BlogCamp. I think the majority of feedback was positive, and some very good points raised about improvements of any future events. It was great to see so many people from all areas of the industry getting involved.

Photos
I have started to upload my collection of photographs from the World Travel Market. I did not take any photos of the BlogCamp as I was running like a headless chicken, but I think a few people took some photos on the night.
Videos
I trialled Qik, live video technology on my Nokia N95 phone, and it worked okay. The results were not instant, and streaming was slow I think primarily because of the poor WiFi reception from Three in the exhibition centre. I am going to upload a few more videos this weekend.

That is it for another year.
I think I will go again to the World Travel Market but I will spend less time in the exhibition halls and more time in the seminars because that is where I learn the most about the travel, tourism, and airline industries.

Darren, I also found the seminars more beneficial than spending time walking around the exhibition.

Hi Darren, Glad to see you made the Etihad stand. My Brother-in-law, Clive Wratten is UK Country Manager for Etihad, and it looks as though you have joined the other elite personalities to have been on the stand this week. Amongst Clives other Guests, Dannii Minogue, Chelsea Football Club, Harlequins Rugby team and of course now Darren of Travel-Rants.
I’ll send Clive a Link to this post and i’m sure your fame will soon be reaching the shores of Abhu Dhabi.
Congratulations again for organising the Blog Camp, it almost sounded as though it was worth forgetting WTM and just turning up for the Camp. I Hope to finally meet up with you at BC2 and forget WTM

@ Karen
The seminar’s were just the right length too – 1 – 2 hours. I enjoyed the airline and environment and future of tourism seminars. Took pages and pages of notes for future blog posts. Some great points made but it seems to me all talk and no action.
@ Lee
Thanks for the phone call. I was in a overwhelmed as you probably realised, worrying about the blogcamp and trying to find my way around the WTM. The Etithad stand was one of my favourites.

Hi Darren
Wanted to add my thanks for your organising skills too… really interesting evening. I’ve posted too – specifically about how PRs can engage with blogs. You can read the post here:

Would welcome opinions!
Cheers
Jeremy
