I have been writing on the blog for over three years now, and during that time, I have added a number of features that I think consumers and readers would find useful. Long term, I want the blog to continue to grow and be a popular resource for consumers.

Today, I would like to give you a quick tour around Travel Rants.
Travel destination guides
When looking for ideas I became frustrated that search engines were not finding me blog posts written about destinations, so I created a map that has links to great blog posts written on destinations such as Paris, San Francisco, and London.
Bookmark my destination guide map and whenever you are looking for travel ideas, you can scroll around the map. Every month I feature a new city, this month it is Paris.
Travel rants newsletter
The newsletter was launched because I realised not everyone has the time to visit the blog on a daily basis. Therefore, twice a month I publish the newsletter to readers that want to keep up-to-date. The newsletter features the latest travel news and a round up of my favourite blog posts on the internet.
Over the last few weeks, I have been working with a few travel writers to create the first set of travel consumer guides. The topics range from coping with jet lag to backpacking tips and how to travel green. More will be added soon.
» How to travel green
» Accessing and carrying your money abroad
» Backpacking travel tips and advice
» Coping with Jet lag
» Flying with Kids
Community participation
You can participate in this community by submitting your holiday videos; email me any blog posts you have read that you think should be promoted on the travel destination map. Help promote my blog posts by submitting them to sites like Stumble Upon and Yahoo Buzz, or simply join in the discussion.

Darren, it is good to see you keep the wine not far from you desk =)
I personally think the travel consumer guides are great! There are plenty of location-specific guides but these horizontals (green travel, flying with children..) are fantastic. I can think of several other good ideas, give me a shout if you’re interested!
I hadn’t looked at the travel map until today, but how nice! Must be tough though to choose just one post, in some cities there is such excellent coverage.

@ Andy
Yep, I love my place, its so convenient, especially the wine rack!
Feel free to drop me an email with any suggestions you have for future guides. If you look on the sidebar, you’ll see a few more I have added. When I get some time I will find a home for all of the guides and future ones on the blog.
As for the map, it’s finding content that is the challenge. I don’t want to take posts from just one source, and at the moment I am concentrating on Europe. I am also fussy, and looking for in-depth posts, rather than just short posts.

Thank you for your nice comments. It makes me smile when people have a good experience using this blog. I hope to add more travel consumer guides in the coming months.
