Rather than writing another travel blog carnival post I thought I would be a little unique this month. Travel bloggers write some of the best content on the web, and I would like to promote five travel blog carnivals that have blown my socks off.

Green Travel blog carnival on Perceptive Travel
I am forever ranting about the travel industry and it’s lack of commitment to green issues, so the Green Travel carnival was an interesting read. My favourite post was 11 useable tips for Greener Travel, which is worth a read before travelling.
European travel blog carnival on Europe a la Carte
This wins the award for most in-depth travel blog carnival, and you can tell Karen has put a lot of effort into making sure she finds the best content for Europe. I love reading blog posts that has tons of photos, so this was my favourite carnival.
Carnival of Cities on Delicious Baby
I am forever looking for quality destination blog posts for my travel destinations guide map, and this travel carnival caught my attention. Featuring destinations such as Dubai and New York, but my favourite post was from the Intelligent Travel blog about a travel writers trip to Panama.
Carnival of Food and Drink on the Travel, Eat, Sleep Blog
When travelling I always like to sample the local delicacies, and this blog carnival dishes out the best on travel and food. Make a drink, sit back and relax because this travel carnival features over eighty blog posts.
Travellers Carnival on Fly Away Café
This carnival features a ton of international travel posts, ranging from typical foods in Costa Rica to the experiences of a traveller walking across the Great Wall of China. Wide ranging topics covered and a recommended read.
If you have written a blog post that you think deserves to be reviewed in the travel rants blog carnival then please contact me. I am using Twitter, Google Reader and StumbleUpon to find my favourite travel content, so feel free to add me as a friend or follower.
Which is your favourite travel blog carnival from those listed?

I’m a bit biased as I work with her, but indeed I love Karen’s blog carnival feature. She must have a very full RSS reader to keep up with all that information. I’d like to think I am quite knowledgeable about European travel, but Karen always has something new or interesting to report.

Delighted to hear that you enjoyed the latest edition of the Europe Travel Blog Carnival., Darren. When I started the Carnival earlier this year my aim was to do more than a cut and paste job of the submission links. Although having links is great for bloggers ranking and exposure, I judged that this sort of blog carnival is not very appealing to readers. So I add a relevant photo to each submission and try to add some of my own comments. It does take time and effort to collate the Carnival, that’s why it’s only published once a month and the submission deadline is one week before publication date.
Of course the success of a blog carnival depends on the quality of submissions and I’ve been fortunate is receiving a lot of great submissions.

I like the organization of Delicious Baby and Europe a la Carte.
