Fish, Fjords and Fantasy Lofoten Islands
I visited Oslo in Norway last year, and I regretted not adding on a week to witness the breathtaking views of the Norwegian Fjords and further afield. Even more so, after reading Mark’s interesting guide to the Lofoten Islands.
Milan: Aperitivo bars offer delicious dining, cheapo-style
My favourite food is Italian, so it’s surprising that I have yet to visit Milan and what better way to mingle with the locals than sampling the local food and drinks at an Aperitivo bar, especially if it’s cheapo. This post reviews a good selection of bars and café’s in Milan. Great read.
Rovinj, Croatia – Come See What the Italians have tried to keep Secret
I have wanted to take a trip to Croatia for a long time, and intend to after reading this in-depth guide of a small town called Rovinj. Interestingly, the town used to be an island, but was later connected the Croatian mainland. Nice read.
An afternoon in Monte Carlo, Monaco
When I was younger I imagined driving a formula 1 car around the streets of Monaco, as I got older, I dreamt about owning a Yacht, in the Marina, I suppose it’s time to wake up and smell the coffee. So instead I read this blog post about an afternoon trip to Monte Carlo.
Ibiza uncovered: beyond clubland
Like many people I don’t have a very good impression of Ibiza in my head, and watching the Ibiza Uncovered series on television probably didn’t help. Call me a party pooper, but it’s not my type of holiday, but this blog post made me realise that there’s more to Ibiza than clubbing.
Finally…
This picture made me depressed. I know, I should stop spending and save my money to be able to visit destinations like this but wow. The Maldives, looks breathtaking. Anyone agree with me? I can imagine me standing there, the sun blazing on my back.
Now back to normality.

Hi Darren,
Thanks for the mention. It’s true – almost everyone associates Ibiza with riotous clubland hedonism and 18–30 shenanigans, but move away from that and there’s a beautiful Spanish island waiting to be explored. I’m in Ibiza at the moment actually – staying at a stunning villa called Can Talaya, which is relaxing, peaceful and all the things that you wouldn’t expect from a notorious party island.
