For the next four weeks, Amanda and myself will be writing a number of blog posts aimed at providing useful travel advice and tips for travellers heading off on holiday during the summer. We would like consumers and travel companies to participate by sending us your travel tips.

At the end of the month your tips could be featured in a downloadable leaflet created in association with the Foreign, Commonwealth Office, and the Know Before You Go campaign, to help raise awareness of safe travel.

Travelling safely could be more of a challenge this summer – could we see an increase in air range as Ryanair allow mobile phones in-flight, flights delayed due torrential rain storms, travellers stuck in traffic as the haulage companies strike because of the price of oil.

On a lighter note, at least us British football fans won’t feel the need to stay at home this summer.
