Travel awards and blogging

Well, I’ve got an exciting week coming up, with a trip to London, and the Travolution Awards. I’m not sure why but I’m nervous about the awards; I’m not too great around people I don’t know, and what about if I do win, the thought of getting up and collecting my award – nervous.

It’ll be an experience; this short arsed travel blogger who just rants about travel mingling with the likes of British Airways, and Opodo. Yikes. It’s great though that they are awards out there that realise how important a role bloggers play in the travel industry.

Wish me luck – I’ll need it.

Darren, the likes of British Airways and Opodo are just people who work in the travel industry, relax and be yourself. Good Luck but you’ve done all the hard work so it’s time to enjoy.

Well another missed opportunity to meet you Darren, unfortunatly I won’t be in London for the awards, as most of my staff are in Warwick for an AITO ( Asociation of Independent Tour Operators)
training day. That just leaves myself and Hilary to hold the fort in great Malvern.
I hope somebody’s invited you down and paying for your £150.00 seat Darren?
Hope you have a great evening, don’t forget to take the anadin for the morning after. Travel Industry events and awards are renound for carrying on until the early hours of the morning!!!!
I Think I already know the outcome of the Blog awards by looking into my Crystal ball, shame it;s not giving me this weeks lottery numbers as well.

Yes, I was very (very) nervous. I wandered around looking like a lost lamb for a while until I got to my table, and from there it was great fun, nice bunch of people.
