Press release just received informing me that British Airways hope to resolve the issues with Heathrow Terminal 5 by borrowing staff from competitors, SilverJet and Ryanair. BAA met with all airlines and a decision was made in the early hours that staff would be flown in to help out.

In return British Airways, chief executive, Willie Walsh, will work for Ryanair at Dublin International airport as a baggage collector, and then with SilverJet as in-flight staff polishing shoes, serving drinks and snacks.
Please subscribe to this post for updates as they arrive.

And I thought you could do better than that Darren, mind you they could always rely on Yorkshire Airlines helping out:-)

Ha Ha! Very funny. I see that April Fool’s Day is still in full swing….

Ryanair staff, with their renowned sensitivity and empathy will be so good at placating irate BA customers but I don’t know if Silverjet staff will want to rub shoulders with Ryanair staff, being from the upper class of flying!

@ Nathan
Quite appropriate huh?
@ Karen
Ryanair telling BA how to run their business.. wouldn’t that be fun to watch?

@ Sara
Funnily enough, I was just checking my stats and noticed loads of you from Silverjet were visiting the blog.
I’m glad you saw the funny side of it

Fantastic.
As a BA pilot I only wish it was true. I would have loved to see Wee Willie, as we call him, enjoy the company of a few baggage handlers. They would make mincemeat of him!

Eldred, I hope you wasn’t leaving your comment via mobile phone on a 747!
