Sorry to hear that Darren. Could they not get you on the next flight?

I’ve only ever missed a flight once, to Munich from LHR with BA. Friday evening. Tube was stuck between stations at Acton for nearly 1 hour. Arriving at check-in with 20 mins to go wasn’t enough to get on flight.

Luckily BA were sympathetic but could only get me on a flight the next morning, at no extra charge.

There’s more to the story, which I’ll share over a beer or three!

Since then, over 10 years ago, I never used the tube to get to LHR, other than meet mates. Instead I used taxis or the Heathrow express. Or would park and ride to Stansted.

ah well. at least you avoided all the strike stuff happening there right now.

What a shame !!!!

Darren, I was gutted not to meet you but I’m dreading to think what I must look like in that photo Lee mentions, I just returned home yesterday evening and am trying to catch up.
