I Wondered why you were not in the Photos Darren, in fact on one of the Photos there’s a classic of Karen from Scotland, she looks furious in the photo, perhaps she had just been told of your non arrival

Sorry to hear that Darren. Could they not get you on the next flight?

I’ve only ever missed a flight once, to Munich from LHR with BA. Friday evening. Tube was stuck between stations at Acton for nearly 1 hour. Arriving at check-in with 20 mins to go wasn’t enough to get on flight.

Luckily BA were sympathetic but could only get me on a flight the next morning, at no extra charge.

There’s more to the story, which I’ll share over a beer or three!

Since then, over 10 years ago, I never used the tube to get to LHR, other than meet mates. Instead I used taxis or the Heathrow express. Or would park and ride to Stansted.
