Travel blogs are great sources of information and inspiration to travellers. I haven’t promoted any blogs on here for a while and since it’s a rainy Sunday afternoon it seemed a good time to search the internet for blogs that have not yet hit my RSS radar.

Here are the first 5 blog reviews:
An interesting travel blog written by Daniel Haneveer which focuses on his life in Tasmania and provides readers with a good mixture of travel tips and his own travel experiences. I’m jealous because Daniel lives in an awesome state, and plans to travel around the World in September 2008.
I’d like to see more photographs and more questions so that readers can join in the discussions. My opinion is that if you don’t ask a question, how you are going to generate discussion – unless it’s a controversial subject.
In the past I’ve not always portrayed London in good light other than praising its public transport system. Well this London geezer has blogged longer than I have and writes about his life in London, and wow gets a great number of comments.
A number of his posts I thought were both interesting and comical but I got a little tired of reading loads of text and not many photographs to keep my attention. I’m looking forward to reading more blog posts about the Olympics in 2012..
I spent over 30 minutes reading blog posts and viewing photographs before I realised I am supposed to be writing ten blog reviews today, so a warning, this blog is addictive and has inspired me to visit Cape Town, with it’s pictures and attraction guides.
The black background brings out the photographs and whilst blogger isn’t my favourite blog software, it’s easy to find your way around. I’d love to go to Cape Town for the 2010 World Cup, but it’s looking likely that England won’t qualify!
I’ve actually came across Andy’s blog in a national newspaper a few years ago, and it has absolutely tons of travel content. If your looking for inspiration then the blog is a must read but be prepared to spend a few hours reading through the thousands of posts detailing his travel experiences.
The blog isn’t the best designed [sorry Andy!] but its’ down to the fact that he has written so much content and it’s a challenge to get the blog navigation user friendly, but you cannot beat that personal experience when looking for inspiration for your travels.
I came across this blog today whilst researching my trip to the US and Canada, later next year and I was impressed by the amount of content. The blog covers everything from advice and tips on theatre booking, restaurant reviews, to guides on the many tourist attractions.
You’d probably think that this is more of a travel guide than blog, and you could be right, but when you get past the front page you realise that that a lot of time and effort has being put into the blog and provides daily updates
I’ve enjoyed reading all of these blogs and my final 5 blog reviews will be published on Tuesday.

Great post! I have followed Newyorkology which I really like for a while now, but I hadn’t heard about Cape Town Daily Photo or Andy Hobo Traveler before. Found many nice photos on the Cape Town blog and Andy’s blog had soo much information…not the best design though as you wrote. Anyway, thanks for the tips!

Thanks Erica. I am just working on writing the next 5 reviews. Time seems to be flying by lately, and I’ve not even thought about Christmas!
