I could have paid for 3 additional vacations with the additional fare that they charged! By additional fare, I mean that they added the cost onto the ticket my wife and I had already purchased. As a result, I am amazed at the extraordinary terms and conditions that Cruise Lines place upon a vacationer. As long as the company states that there is an alternative available, (whether it is putting you up in a hotel for the duration of the cruise), they don't even have to sail to keep your entire fare. WARNING!!! Purchase insurance of every type when you book a cruise. Some friends made while taking Swarovski tours are still trying to recoup cruise fares for 9/11, when all flights were grounded and they could not reach the cruise ship.
