When I go on holiday, I don’t want to be sat on the beach all day, every day, because I want to see as much as I can. Earlier in the year I thought about taking a Eurolines coach, and going from country to country for two weeks, but the thought of sat on a coach all that time put me off the idea.

Then the other day someone told me about a cruise package, where you fly to Palma, and then cruise around the Mediterranean, visiting destinations like Rome, Florence, Barcelona, and Tunis. You visit a new destination every day and can spend the evening, eating and relaxing on board.
I’ve never thought about cruises before because they seem to have this stigma attached of being for older people, but I’m led to believe that cruises are now very popular with the younger generation and families, and a lot of the cruise ships are like floating hotels.
It seems a good way to see a good number of destinations in Europe, but I was wondering if any readers have experienced cruise holidays, and what their experiences are.

I Wouldn’t normally like to say this Darren, but everybody Scoffed at Stelios for entering the cruise market, but actually Easy Cruise is such a brilliant idea and well worth you having a look at.
Cruising has certainly changed over the years, but like everything these days, Change the format and something has to give.
Reduce the Price, and Quality has to be compromised, A Cheaper market brings a new type of clientelle. It may sound snobby, but cruising and certain cruise ships will not suit everybody. You still need to choose your Cruise ship and Itinerary carefully.
And Whilst we are now in the age of the Superliner carrying Thousands of passengers, What about the impact of the destination ports?
Imagine several 2,500 passenger ships docking in St. Kitts for the day, can the smaler more interesting ports of call handle these amounts of people suddenly swarming for a few hours?
My Favourite Cruise Lines. Luxury. Silversea and Hebridean Cruises
Affordable luxury . P&O, Cunard and Fred Olsen Cruise Lines. Affordable Flexible Value and Freedom, Norwegian and Royal Caribbean. Good Value on a budget. Mediterranean Shipping and Ocean Village.
Plenty of others to suit eah individual.
And then of course theres River Cruising or simply messing about on the Broads !!
