I’m going to be busy this summer reading travel books because Cath Urquhart, travel editor of The Times has kindly sent me a copy of her new book called The Times Holiday Handbook, which I have said I will read, and I have to say first impressions are good!

The only time I read a book is if I am on my travels, laid on the beach, or on the plane, so I am looking forward to reading the book. I was wondering what is your favourite travel book and what books will you be taking with you on holiday this Summer?

I didn’t know Cath has a new book out… I will try to find a copy this week. Always a good read.

Andy, get it here cheaper!
I’m going to be able to offer the book at £10 inc P&P, thanks to the publisher, more information to come tomorrow.

Hi Darren,
I usually take my Lonely Planet guide of the country I am visiting.
Books that I will read for this Summer holidays (well for me it will be September) will be:
“Small is the new big” from Seth Godin
“Everything is miscellaneous” from David Weinberger
“Backpacks, Boots and Baguettes: A Walk in the Pyrenees” from Simon Calder and Mick Webb (because Simon offered me his book last month)
