Whilst browsing the net this evening I came across Travel Dodo, which provides useful advice for those planning to visit a specific holiday destination. Basically, you choose a destination and you get a list of do’s and don’ts of attractions, hotels, sights, restaurants.

You can submit your own do’s and don’ts and the site uses Google maps which makes it easier to find destinations, hotels and attractions etc. It’s a nice looking site, and whilst it needs more content, it’s worth checking out your next holiday destination for holiday ideas.

I had a look at the site and it looks like a good idea, you might be able to pick up some hints about what to do and what to avoid at your destination. However I would still advocate spending some time wandering around and discovering a destination for yourself, rather than relying on guidebooks or travellers tips.

I agree Karen.
I find guides and sites like this can help steer you in the right direction, but you have to try and visit these attractions etc yourself, to make your own opinion on it.
