Back from the Lake District

Welcome back me – for those that didn’t read my last post and emailed me asking where I am, well I’ve been in the beautiful Lake District national park for the past four days, and spent the time, walking, rowing, and walking around the South Lakes wild animal park which is excellent and recommended.

More about my trip at the weekend, but I’d like to thank everyone who has submitted their Travel Rants Blog-a-thon blog post – a total of 13 submissions were received, and I’ll be reading these over the weekend and sending them to the judges [when I’ve contacted them!]

More information soon – but for now, I’ll have to finish off unpacking.

Lee, we had perfect weather.

It rained for about an hour on Wednesday night, other than that it was great weather - I actually arrived back home with a red face from all of the sun and walking in it!

I’ve been on holiday to too Prague, after reading your guides.

I’m glad you enjoyed it Rohan.

I always worry that when I recommend a destination, that it’ll turn out to be a nightmare holiday!

I had one consumer contact me saying she had a dredful time, but didn’t take my advice of booking during the week - weekends are pretty crazy in Prague with all the stag and hen parties that are organised there.

Ha well, I was intending to take my new digital camera, but I forgot to pack it, so all of my photos from the Lakes are taken on my mobile, so not brilliant quality at all, but they will do.
