Only a week to go until the end of the Travel Rants Blog-a-thon, the final deadline is the 31 May for your blog posts – not as many submissions as I would of liked, but you have a week to submit your blog post and the chance of winning €200 in Amazon vouchers plus other prizes.

Facebook and other snippets of info

I’ve joined the Facebook craze, and I’ve got a dodgy picture of me on the Facebook profile, so add me as a friend, if you know how to do it, as I have no idea until I have a play around. I’ve only one friend at the moment, so come on don’t make me look a billy no mates.

Next week I am heading off to the Lake District, with activities including canoeing, mountain biking and loads of walking, so posting will be infrequent, but I’ll try and pop on to post about my hopefully rain free trip.

How long does it take you to get to the Lakes Darren?

I’m living in Newcastle at the moment, so suspect itll be quicker from mine.

I’ve wanted to go but keep putting it off

Rohan,

It’s about 3hr 30 mins from Leeds by car, but we are going by train, so it’ll be a 3hr journey, with only one stop. Providing that the railways don’t decide to dig up the track on Bank holiday Monday!
