Apologies for the lack of posts – usually I write daily, but due to work commitments with the ‘full-time job’ I’ve not had much time to rant and rave of late. It’s late, and I need sleep, so a quick post today highlighting some travel sites I have come across this week.

A useful site is iAudioguide.com features over 30 city audio guides, including New York, Paris, and Rome, which you can download for free to your MP3 player, or iPod. The Daily Mail has launched TravelMail, I’ve not had a chance to look at it yet, but I saw some pre-launch screenshots at Travolution.
A while back I introduced Travelhiker, well they have re-launched the site, with a new design and under a new name called myTripbook.com – it looks nice. Finally, a blog that I am enjoying reading at the moment is the Perrin Post, written by Condé Nast Traveler’s consumer news editor Wendy Perrin.

Darren
How do you copy and paste the Perrin Post in your (or any) newsreader? Something amiss with their feeder link?
Regards,
Guido

I love the look of Travel Mail but I need to have a good play around with the features, and see how interactive it is with readers.

Guido,
The url is http://feeds.concierge.com/perrinpost - it looks to be powered by Feedburner. Alot of bloggers are directing their feedburner URL to their own web domain because of the increase in content thiefs.
Read about it here

There’s a lot of discussion about it at the moment on the net.
Charles,
I agree, its a nice site, but I wonder how ’social’ the site is. I’ve yet to have a proper visit, to review it properly.

Rumours floating around Google is to buy Feedburner.

Nice find.
It wouldn’t surprise me.

What is Feedburner anyone?
Darren Cronian | 20 May, 2007 at 2:39 pm
Rohan,
If you have content like the blog posts here, people can read this through an RSS feeder, and feedburner allows you to create a feed, and also get stats and other information.
