BBC Radio 4 is discussing consumer’s air travel experiences tomorrow lunchtime, on the You and Yours show, and would like consumers who have had bad experiences to contact them on their phone-in. All of the issues raised will be going to a government select committee to discuss.

Other than the air passenger duty, which caused a bit of a storm, the next biggest consumer issue is the price airlines are charging if a change to the ticket has to be made. Some airlines, rather than charging consumers an administrative fee, they charge the consumer the full price for another ticket.
Okay, you could argue that the consumer was irresponsible by not checking ticket details before buying, but it seems that airlines are taking advantage of this and are making consumers pay for their mistake, surely a administration fee should suffice, as it can only take a few minutes for them to change their systems, and re-issue the ticket.
Leave your air travel issues here and I forward these on to the production team for you, or you can leave your comments on the You and Yours comments form. Listen to the program on BBC Radio 4 at 12.04pm tomorrow.

I listened to the show Darren, some interesting points raised, and quite a few calls from consumers who are annoyed at airlines charging consumers for another ticket when they have made a mistake.

I couldn’t listen unfortunately, because I was in a meeting, but I’m led to believe alot of the discussion was complaints about Ryanair and EasyJet. From what I’ve been told, it didn’t really hit home the issues consumers are having with airlines.

I listened to the programme Darren and to be honest, I wasn’t impressed.
Most of the callers rang to have a go at Easyjet and Ryanair.
Your right it didnt hit the issues at all.
