The discussion on the unfair prices of insurance for long term ill travel consumers goes on, hopefully someone from one of the travel insurance companies I have contacted will leave a comment or email me, we’ll see.

A week in Travel Rants

Consumers are still confused over what is exactly protected by ABTA, if the travel companies can’t tell us; how we are supposed to check that we are getting the right protection before we go on our holiday.

Growing number of consumers have contacted me this week about the outrageous charges airlines are charging when a change to a ticket is made, it seems that airlines are reducing their prices to be competitive, and then sting the consumer if they want to be flexible and slightly change their travel plans.

Finally…

When we book a premium economy seat what should we expect? Extra leg room, nicer food, better in-flight entertainment. I’ve never tried premium, but from the comments I am getting from consumers, premium means we’ll charge you more and it’s a myth that you actually get a premium seat.

Thanks for reading Travel Rants and come back for more fun and frolics in the travel industry next week.
