Hi, I have a dilema purchased a holiday from the internet through a small tour operater, I was unsure because it seemed a little expensive but I was told the seats on aircraft were selling quickly so gave my card details I was then told that we wouldnt be having a rep at the resort and she had bought the airline tickets directly from Thompson and the accommodation from u travel they say they are ABTA covered but looking at your website I wonder!!! also the very next day this identical holiday same flight same hotel but different company was £240 cheaper !!!! and those seats are still available is there any thing I can do ?

I have emailed ABTA this morning.

Will wait a response via the blog or will update if I receive any communication via email.

Rohan: the ABTA website has a section where you can look up members. each kitemark on a travel agent’s website will have a member number on it – you can then double-check against the ABTA site to clarify.

Oh, and Debbie, your not the only one.

Consumers go to a travel agency, and assume [incorrectly] that they will be covered if anything goes wrong.
