Sometimes it’s good to have a change from staying in a hotel room and they are tons of other holiday accommodation options. You could stay in a Botel, that’s Boat hotel to me and you. I and the girlfriend [at the time] stayed the presidential suite at the Botel Albatross, in Prague, which was great fun.

What about a few nights stay in a handcrafted bamboo house that lets you escape the hustle of city life and comfortably enjoy the natural wonders of the Corcovado National Park in Costa Rica – the house is recommended by Lonely Planet.
For something completely different, how about a stay at the Giraffe Manor, Nairobi in Kenya. Relax having your breakfast whilst the kids are feeding the giraffe through one of the house windows – yes, you did read that right.
The net is full of holiday accommodation websites where you can book your accommodation online and then arrange airport transfer and flights yourself. DIY holidays [Do-It-Yourself] holidays are not for everyone, but its great fun organising your own holiday.

My neice and nephew would love that Giraffe house, and its a good price aswell. I’m just not sure that Kenya is safe enough to travel in at the moment, which is what puts me off visiting alot of African countries.

I love the idea of the Giraffe house too.
