Blogs are great at helping you plan and inspire your holiday, so I thought I’d mention a few of my favourites at the moment. Make a cup of tea, sit back and read the 80 days or Bust Blog. I’ve enjoyed reading this blog and it details Mark’s trip around the World, with added humour along the way.

If your looking for a hotel and are in need of some inspiration then drop by the Active Hotels blog [I’ve used Active a few times over the years] – search for hotels with boa constrictors, or read up on the city of Stuttgart in Germany, with this interesting blog.
Finally, it sounds that the lost girls are having a fun time in Thailand. I love the Lost Girls World blog, tons of humour and interesting content. It’s written by Three twenty-something New Yorkers who ditched their media jobs to embark on a yearlong, round-the-world – I wonder what the thoughts are of having an Englishman joining them on their trip!

Cheers for the mention Darren. I promise there’s plenty of boa-constrictor-free hotels too!
Amanda - So what would be your dream Travel Bloggers meeting place? I think I’d be torn between Fiji, Menorca or somewhere on the Canadian East Coast…
Darren Cronian | 10 March, 2007 at 11:04 am
Thanks for dropping by Amanda!
Vero, what a great idea - a travel bloggers meet-up! If you look at the centre of a World Map [to make it fair for everyone] you have the choice of Norway, Denmark, Germany, Italy and the Balearics, down to Africa.
Canada, New Zealand and South Africa are high on my list of destinations at the moment though!

Darren, that’s precisely why I asked you, in the hope that you’d tell me
If it’s any good I’d feature it, that’s all
Darren Cronian | 11 March, 2007 at 1:10 pm

Dream travel bloggers meeting? My vote would be for Fiji….or anywhere in the South Pacific really
I’m still looking for the world’s best diving spot. Any thoughts?
Darren Cronian | 13 March, 2007 at 2:30 am
The only time I have dived [and Snorkled] is in the Great Barrier Reef. Superb experience and one I shall never forget. I stayed for a week in Port Douglas, and took a few boat trips our to different parts of the reef.
I can recommend the Pavillian Boutique Apartments which reminds me I didnt leave a review on Trip Advisor.

Amanda, I absolutely love your blog.
I love reading travellers experiences and adventures.

Fiji and Asia in general fascinate me because I’ve never really been further East than hmm Germany I guess!
I’d really like to go backpacking in Australia (was very popular amongst young Canadians back when I still lived at home) and I’m obsessively fascinated by Japanese culture, probably because it would be the most out-of-my-depth place to be.
Mmm with the sun shining as it is today, I could pack up and leave right now ![]()

i know the feeling Vero.
I’ve been to Malaysia, and that was a great experience, lovely country and very nice friendly people. I’d love to visit Japan, and spend a night in one of them capsule hotels in Tokyo, and since I’m a geek, I’d love the technology and gadgets there.
So a travel bloggers gathering in Fiji it is! ![]()
