It appears that Travel Rants has been nominated for The Travvies travel blog Awards which is hosted on the Upgrade: Travel Better blog. Thanks to the mysterious Sarah who nominated Travel Rants within the ‘Best Travel Blog’ category.

Hi Darren, i think the first part is nominations, which closes on Feb 12. The voting will actually begin later this month once they’ve narrowed down the nominations.

By The way talking of Real Awards, Select World Travel have a busy Couple of Months ahead. Travel Trade Gazette awards nominations, Travel weekly Agent Achievement Awards nominations, TIPTO Agency Proprietor of the year award nomination and not forgetting of course the Travolution 1st awards ceremony being held in March.

The links will raise awareness of your blog, but its unlikely that blog comments will help with search engine optimisation, i.e. Google ranking as most blog software applications uses the nofollow tag, which means that the link will not assist with ranking as the search engine doesn’t follow the link.
