Am I the only person fed up of naff travel TV adverts? It appears that companies advertising haven’t a slice of imagination, and I’ve yet to watch an advertisement that’s made me visit a website, or help inspire.

The most interesting TV advert of 2006 was in my opinion, the British Airways ad using Google Earth, but even the BA ads show a lack of imagination, with just a shortened version of their previous advert.

Snore Snore.. Come on – entertain me!

i agree, most are boring and irrelevant. in fact, i’d say the Corona adverts do more for inspiring me to visit Mexico (and other warm places) than any other ad. Come to think of it, makes me want a Corona too. Too bad it’s only 11am here…

Your right.

I’ve seen some funny ads on TV but these travel ones are dull and not very imaginative.

Also, I’ve not seen as many holiday ads as I have seen in the past. I remember previous years being bombarded by tv ads.

Do you think travel companies are using the internet more for advertising and they really are abandoning the tv?

You wouldn’t have seen our recent TVC series (screened in New Zealand), but I’d love to know what you think:

I’ll check the videos out later Charles.

I have to agree on your recommendation of York, only 30mins where I live, and an awesome city.

One day I’ll have to have have day trip and blog about it.
