India has had it’s fair share of media attention due to the terrorist attacks in Mumbai and New Delhi, but it shouldn’t put you off travelling to the popular destination of Kerala. Over 600,000 British tourists visit India every year and most of these visits are trouble-free according to the Foreign Commonwealth Office.

Kerala, is a state on the Malabar Coast of south western India, and it’s largest and capital city is Thiruvananthapuram (pronounce that when you’ve had a few whiskeys!) with a population of 31 million. Would you believe though, it’s only India’s 12th most populated state, so it just goes to show that India is a vast country with a high population.
They are many beaches in Kerala, including Kovalam Beach an internationally renowned beach and is a favourite spot for tourists, especially Europeans. The beach complex includes health resorts, convention facilities, shopping centres, swimming pools, Yoga and massage centres and is only a short journey from the capital city Thiruvananthapuram

Kerala Flights from UK
You will find that they are plenty of hotels, villas, apartments in Kerala, but if you want unusual accommodation then I suggest a few days on board a Kerala houseboat. Life on the canals and rivers is entirely different - no traffic, instead you can relax viewing the green rice fields, coconut groves with the occasional temple or church.
Kerala’s main airport is Cochin Airport, where you can fly direct from various European cities including London Heathrow’s airport. A number of airlines fly to Kerala, including Air India, and Qatar airlines, or you can fly to New Delhi or Mumbai and fly on internal airlines Jet Airlines or India Airlines.

Out of most Countries I would like to visit, India is definatly on my hit list.
Transindus are attending our holiday show in January, and perhaps Darren it would be a good opportunity for you to see just what they can offer.
Meanwhile as I’m Typing Wycombe are beating Charlton 1-0 in the carling Cup and India sounds like a good place to emigrate to.
The Diversity of India, it’s culture, Cuisine and lifestyle definatly puts India in the top ten.
On a Sad Note Charlton are described as a disgrace as they loose to Wycombe on the Radio.
I’ve never heard anything like it.

I’m looking forward to the holiday show, and yes, I’d love to visit India, hell, I’d like to visit the World, but that’s not going to happen unless I win the national lottery!!

It is not that much expensive to visit India, as far as foreigners are considered….

George, I would take a guess that it’s expensive to fly to India, but when are you within the country it’s not very expensive.
Rohan, sorry bit late replying to this, hehe, I researched the content on the internet and put the guide together myself.
