Well, it’s the end of the 2006 London World Travel Market, and now I can’t wait for 2007’s event. I’ve learnt so much from other travel professionals. It’s given me a new insight into the travel industry, by talking to travel companies who are excited about the future, and also very keen to provide a first class customer service.

Here are a few more World Travel Market Photos for you to view.

One of the questions asked to the audience at the Travolution conference was “Do you think high street travel agents will exist in 2020?” It was a 50/50 split within the audience, and I voted that I don’t think they will – I can see travel operators like Thomson moving completely to the online arena, with a call centre to deal with anyone who wants to speak to a human rather than booking online.

Imagine how much they would save by not having the operation costs of a travel shop - what do you think? Would you want to be able to step into a travel agency, or are you happy to book your holiday online and independent?

I live in the US and can’t get to exhibitions like this easily, but thanks to your blog, we can all get an insight. Thanks Darren.

I’m only 25 minutes from London.

Can the general public turn up at the exhibition?
