Phew, I now know what it’s like to commute around London. Today, I attended the Travolution Conference at the World Travel Market, and I have to admit that my brain is a little foggy (just like the weather this morning!) with information overload.

I’m in the process of wading through my notes, but its very apparent that you, the consumer, have a massive role to play in the future of the travel industry. In this, the digital age, consumers can leave negative and positive feedback on hotels, attractions, trips, view the location of the hotel by satellite, watch videos of the hotel, and listen to travel guides about the destination on your iPod.
… and this is just the start.
From a travellers perspective, it’s good to hear that travel companies realise the potential of the internet. It’s also good to hear that I’m not a sleazy person with no friends, as Ed Whiting, product director, of Comtec confirmed that “blogs are not for sleazy people with no friends.”
More to come soon, including some very useful sites for travellers revealed at the conference.
