Travel search company SideStep, Inc. has acquired TravelPost.com, a site offering hotel reviews and ratings. SideStep.com will integrate TravelPost.com’s travel planning content into its site over the coming months.

SideStep.com acquire Hotel Review site

SideStep.com gives travellers, access to online travel search information to more than 600 airlines, 150,000 hotels and 30,000 car rental locations worldwide. It’s one of the few travel search sites that you can search and filter results and also view a map of the location of the hotel, and hotels nearby.

Also in the news is Ryanair who have today reduced their baggage allowances from 20kg to 15kg just eight months after increasing it, with boss O’Leary ranting “Travel light or pay.”

The Ryanair boss has dismissed calls for green taxes on aviation as the “usual horseshit” and warned that extra levies on airlines will not put people off flying. He doesn’t mince his words does he - but I have to agree with him.
