Hmmm, I’ve been shopping around for a new digital camera – my current digital camera is the Sony Cybershot, which is over three years old, and I am assuming that technology has changed.

High on my list is the Samsung Digimax L85 which has the following features:
- 8 Megapixels
- 5 Optical zoom
- TV quality movies
- Full manual control
I’m no photographer – I’d love to be able to take photographs to the same standard as some of the photographers on the Travel Rants Flickr photograph group, so I’ve booked myself on to an online course, which starts in November.
If you have any tips for taking the perfect travel photograph then feel free to leave a comment.

Now that is a niceeeee camera unfortunately though, well over my budget - it’s £439 just for the basic model.
I’ve added it to my must have list though! ![]()

I had my last photographs developed at Boots, and my finger was in some of the photographs, some were blurry. I think its time I bought the family a digital camera.

I have a Minolta Dimage Z1, and you can see some of the results on our blog at http://www.selectworld.travel. I usually take about 500 to 700 photographs when away on an educational trip and usualy get a few good shots and also a lot of seroius editing. We have just come back from Dubai, and am now editing the Photos, so the results should be posted soon. The Dimage has been great for day time shots, but not that good for night time shots
