I'm thinking of taking my 15 year old daughter on a Nile cruise. She is worried there wont be enough to keep her occupied ie other kids her own age , entertainment at night so on. Is there anyone been on a Nile cruise with kids of her age and if so what did they think about their experience.

Has anybody been on a Nile Cruise mid November? Not sure what the weather would be like then.

Ken - I think January would be a great time. I went in March, & it was summer-like weather. So January should be like late spring. The people in Egypt have been wonderful during my 2 trips there. Yes, you will be hounded by souvenir-sellers at the tourist sites - it's part of the experience. Learn a few Arabic phrases. If "La, shukran" (no, thank you) doesn't work, move up to "Sebnee! Emshee!" (Go away! Leave me alone!) But, first & foremost, keep your sense of humor. I have found that pleasantly joking with the Egytian people is well received, and will get you farther than a more standoffish approach. Have a great time!

We are thinking of taking a Nile Cruise in mid January, any comments on the weather at that time of year. Is there much hassle from the local population, if so please advise on the best way to deal with this apparent problem.
