I spent around 15 minutes hunting around the internet for a deserved first Travel Blogzone entry, and found this blog about the travels of a couple called Lee & Lucy, who are blogging their experience whilst travelling around the World.
Blog: Lee & Lucy’s travel blog.

I like that it’s non-commercial, but I prefer blogs with a bit more travel information and less personal stuff. Probably just me - I know blogs are supposed to be very personal and everything.

I’m hoping to only link to non-commercial blogs - and find these are the most interesting blogs to read.

Sounds like a good plan. Especially the fun to read part. Non-commercial is nice, but I personally don’t care if the best information comes from someone who wants to make money or someone who doesn’t try to make money. I guess I’m not being clear. What I mean to say is that if a commercial blog has the best info, that’s where I go.

Well, yes if I am looking for information to help me write an article or help out a holidaymaker than it doesn’t matter if it’s commercial or not, but what I want to get out of this challenge is to find blogs that are not commercial, and aren’t promoted to the hilt in the blogging circle.

I know what you mean, Darren. After all, thats pretty much the idea of blogs. I think they need to be personal first, helpful second - that’s what will make them more readable. Good stuff here, by the way.

Hello!
Just wanted to say thanks for linking to our Travel Blog! It’s made our day!
Originally the blog was just to keep friends and family up-to-date with what were were up to, but only recently we’ve understood the importance of providing useful information about the places we visit.
Thanks again… looking forward to seeing some of the other travel-blogs that you select.
Regards,
- Lee

No problem Lee! The aim is to link to one new travel blog a day.. it’s tough finding non-commercial, regularly updated travel blogs though!
