Okay, am I the only person in the UK who thinks that internal flight prices are ridiculously high compared to European flights? I mean it takes 1 hour to fly to London, and the cost is £270 return, which includes, umm the flight - no food and no entertainment, direct from Leeds and Bradford Airport.

For this price I could have flown to three or four European cities from the UK. So can someone tell me why flights from within the UK are so damn expensive? Are the airlines taking advantage of the fact that people commute to and from work? Let’s sting these people because the company is probably paying anyway, sod the poor buggers who want to have a few days away in the nations capital!

One Response to “Rant about UK Internal Flights”

Internal flights are ridiculous - esp where I live where BA has a monopoly - Kirkwall (Orkney) to Edinburgh, return = £347.70, which includes, the flight, a fantastic 10 minute stopover in Inverness, and another flight to Edinburgh, total time 1hour 55 mins (could be just over an hour without the Inverness fiasco). Easyjet - come to Orkney!
